For local businesses
Back the children in your own community.
Local business sponsorship is one of the PTO's key fundraising priorities. Our families live, shop, eat, and take their children to the dentist within a few miles of this campus. They notice who shows up for their kids.
What sponsorship funds
Sponsorship supports the PTO's programs for learners: the greenhouse and outdoor classroom, hands-on classroom materials, sports and play equipment, and learner leadership and service projects. It does not fund the school's operating costs. You are giving to a charity that buys things for children, not paying anyone's tuition.
Levels
Recognition is based on name, logo, and contact information. We do not publish promotional claims or endorsements on behalf of a sponsor.
| Level | Recognition |
|---|---|
| Anchor | Named presence at every PTO event, logo on event materials and on this website, recognition from the podium at each event, a social feature, and a framed thank-you from our learners. |
| Community Partner | Logo on event materials and on this website, recognition at two events, and a social mention. |
| Project Partner | Name on event materials and on this website, with recognition at the event you support. |
| Friend | Name listed on this website and in the event program. |
Sponsorship amounts for each level are set each year. Email us and we will send the current sheet along with our IRS determination letter.
In-kind partnership
Not every partnership is a check. Printing, signage, food for a family night, plants and soil for the greenhouse, professional services, auction items, or a discount on something we were going to buy anyway — all of it reduces what we have to raise, and all of it gets the same recognition as a cash gift at the equivalent level.
Practical details
The Anchored School PTO is a Texas nonprofit corporation and a 501(c)(3) public charity, EIN 42-3747658. We can provide our IRS determination letter, our certificate of filing with the Texas Secretary of State, and our bylaws on request — usually the same day you ask. If your accounts payable process needs a form we have not listed, ask and we will tell you what we can send.
One note we would rather state plainly than have you discover later: when a sponsor receives advertising or substantial benefits in return for a payment, the payment may not be fully deductible as a charitable contribution, and the treatment differs from a straightforward gift. We keep sponsor recognition to name, logo, and contact information for that reason. Please ask your own tax advisor how to treat your payment — we will give you accurate documentation, but we will not tell you what it means for your return.
Talk to us
Email info@anchoredschoolpto.org and we will set up a short conversation, in person if you would rather. Sponsorship decisions made early in the school year get the most visibility, so September and October are the best time to talk.
