The Anchored School PTO

Classroom enrichment

Support hands-on classroom learning.

This PTO fund provides learner-facing materials that help guides teach concepts in practical, flexible ways.

What this fund supports

Books and leveled readers, microscopes, math manipulatives, art and music supplies, robotics and building kits, maps, and other classroom materials requested for learner use.

Requests come from guides, are reviewed by the PTO board, and are purchased by the PTO. The fund is for learner-facing enrichment materials, not school payroll, rent, debt, or other operating expenses.

Why a dedicated fund

Project-based learning works best when a guide has more than one way to make an idea concrete. A well-stocked classroom gives learners materials they can read, build with, measure, investigate, and create with.

Restricted gifts stay restricted. Gifts made through the classroom-enrichment fund are used for that purpose. If circumstances require a change, the PTO contacts the funder before redirecting restricted money.
